Contest To Win Money

Job Ratings Website jobbala.com Offers $200 for Employee Job Reviews
jobbala.com is offering a chance to win $200 cash for each job rating up to its first 5000 job reviews. Reviews of multiple employers provide contributors a greater chance to win. Reviews are made available for job seekers to research employers.
Job reviews are a tool to help people find great places to work. The Great Place to Work Institute (the producer of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For in America”) defines a great place to work as “a place where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with.” jobbala.com believes that “by encouraging good places of employment we can improve the working conditions of all, much like unions.”
Job reviews are easy to submit and take only a couple of minutes, depending on how much detail the reviewer gives. To start, users search for the employer. If jobbala.com has the employer on record, he/she can select the company. If not, users are asked for the name, address, and a category specifying the company type. Optionally, the company’s website address can be included. If the contributor works at a branch outside the main headquarters, they are encouraged to provide the both locations. Besides physical location, there are ten questions about employee treatment, along with a commentary area. All ratings are completely anonymous and require no identifying information.
Visitors seeking information about potential employers can use the search box to find related reviews. Company reviews can be filtered to a specific branch. Future functionality will include searching for job reviews by state/region or around a specific city.
As part of promoting great places to work, jobbala.com includes a Wall of Fame and Wall of Shame. Each is a list of the top and bottom five employers on jobbala.com, respectively.
jobbala.com was founded by Matthew Howland during a time of unemployment when he struggled to find background information on perspective employers. Resources concerning employee treatment were limited and most internet searches did not indicate how employees felt about a company. Thus the concept of jobbala.com was born.
